Celebrating over four decades in business, we are located in beautiful Baddeck, Nova Scotia, the geographical centre of Cape Breton Island.

Catherine E. Harvey, Founding President (now retired).. recognized the need for a licensed real estate broker in Victoria County, Cape Breton, and established her company before 1970. Down through the years, the company has continued to provide competent, reliable service to a network of local, American and European clients. As we move through the new millenium we are proud to be a part of Victoria County’s future, growth and prosperity.

Catherine M. Harvey, Broker
Cathy Harvey returned to Cape Breton in 1993 and worked as a sales agent with Catherine until 1999, when she obtained her Broker’s license. Cathy is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Cathy is now the Broker of our company, and works full-time trading in real estate. She strives to continue to provide our clients with excellent service.

Elizabeth Anne Menzies, Sales Agent
When Betty joined Catherine E. Harvey Realties Ltd. in 2005, she was no stranger to the Company. Betty watched her mother and sister enjoy their professional growth in the real estate industry while she concentrated on raising her family and pursued her career in public education. Betty retired in 2004 from the classroom, and acquired her license as a real estate salesperson. Aware that she faces new challenges in a complex and demanding profession, Betty enjoys being a productive member of the team, and contributing her efforts to maintaining the solid reputation for professionalism and dedication to clients that is the trademark of Catherine E. Harvey Realties Ltd.

Cheryl MacDonald, Sales Agent
Cheryl MacDonald, brings familiarity with the island’s communities and people together with an innate desire to remain among the privileged who call Cape Breton ‘home’. In keeping with the evolution of the real estate industry, it was an obvious transition from a career spanning 17 years on the front lines of real estate law as a legal assistant for local lawyers to the rewarding field work of listing property for sale and matching prospective purchasers with their ‘perfect slice of Cape Breton’.

Terri Brewer, Sales Agent
Our newest Sales Associate, Terri Brewer, developed an interest in real estate after many years working in the retail business, and brings with her more than a decade of experience working as a Real Estate Sales Agent on our Island. She is a native Cape Bretoner living in Baddeck with her husband where they raised two sons. Terri welcomes new and old clients as she aspires to maintain the high level of professional standards which defines Catherine E. Harvey Realties Ltd.
